The Anandamaya Institute for Transpersonal Studies, was founded in Austin, Texas in 1998 by Joseph Meador, M.Th. (Theology), M.Sc. and Ph.D. (Philosophy of Education). The Institute is an educational and research center for the study and practice of classical Yoga Meditation in the tradition of Jñāna Yoga and Advaita Vedanta. The Anandamaya Institute is a not-for-profit educational foundation and offers all of its classes and community programs free of charge. The Anandamaya Institute is located in beautiful downtown Huntsville, Texas.
